Ceramic coating — assessment required

Paint protection starts with the right preparation

A ceramic coating can enhance gloss, improve water behaviour and make routine cleaning easier. It is not stone-chip-proof or scratch-proof paint — and it only performs when the paint beneath is properly prepared.

This service is published as a draft. Ceramic coating is confirmed as available only once the provider, product, preparation, cure environment, aftercare and warranty terms are verified. No booking or charge is made before assessment.

What it does — and doesn’t do

Can help with

  • Enhanced gloss
  • Hydrophobic water behaviour
  • Easier routine cleaning
  • Reduced dirt adhesion

Does not

  • Stop stone chips or scratches
  • Replace ongoing washing
  • Make paint immune to damage

Preparation flow

Mandatory preparation is included in the quoted total. Optional correction is separately agreed — we never market a spray sealant as the same service as a durable, professionally installed coating.

  1. 01

    Assessment

Inspect paint condition and confirm suitability for coating.

  2. 02

    Clean & decontaminate

Wash and remove bonded contamination so the surface is ready.

  3. 03

    Correction if agreed

Machine correction where the paint needs it — separately agreed.

  4. 04

    Application & cure

Apply the coating and follow the cure and handover requirements.

Package and pricing approach

Package details must specify the actual product, preparation included, application stages, surfaces, cure requirements and documented warranty or maintenance conditions. We do not invent “9H”, years of life, accreditation, layers or a coating brand. Where these details are missing, we use one assessment CTA rather than fictional tier names.

The current starting figure is resolved in your quote: is it a coating application on already suitable paint, or a complete prepared installation? Mandatory preparation is included in the total; optional correction is separately agreed.

How the layer works

A simple labelled illustration for explanation — explicitly not microscopic evidence or a scratch-immunity demonstration.

  • 1. Paint surface (prepared)
  • 2. Coating layer (applied & cured)
  • 3. Hydrophobic surface behaviour

Aftercare

Ongoing washing remains necessary. We explain cure requirements, suitable wash products and any maintenance conditions documented for the coating. A short real water-beading clip may be shown with pause and a still fallback.
